About the Russia thingy.. well, that got me wondering too! A lot of other “special” people I researched on were, surprisingly, also from Russia. Those who were from other places didn’t have powers as cool or as awe-inspiring.
Oh, I do remember reading about one guy who was really magnetic/electric. Lightning kept hitting him throughout his life. (Everytime that happened, his hair or eyebrows would get burned. hahaha kawawa. hahaha! ) Anyway, that went on for only 7 times. Shortly after the 7th strike, he killed himself. He prolly got tired of getting zapped. Poor dude. hahaha

As of the date, correction, it’s not the early 1990s but the early 1900s. hahaha 1990s would be 90 years too late. hahaha! Anyway, I don’t know why this is so, either. I’m just guessing that the mutants of “our” time are probably being experimented upon as we speak – just not publicly, of course, or else we’d know about them. Projects and studies like these are usually kept “hush hush”. hahaha

Last thing, of course you do have a point in saying that we all are mutants of some sort. But I’m sure you do know about what kind of “mutants” I’m talking about in this entry. (Not the everybody-is-a-mutant-slash-product-of-evolution type, but the supercool-mutant-ala-xmen kind. hahaha) Scope and limitations, Wonderwoman. Don’t forget to put that into consideration. hahaha

Assessment
Another creative post by Jezze. It gave me that “Heroes” vibe as I was reading it. Obviously well thought of. It was engaging, the flow was good. Good job using the profile type in exemplifying. That pretty much substituted for the need of transitions. Very brief intro and conclusions, though. It was a bit “more about the mutants, less about what I think of it”. Though I guess the brevity was part of the mysterious tone the essay was trying to achieve. In that sense, it was effective.

Just curious though why all the mutants came from Russia and happened in the early 1990s. Also, we are all mutants–products of continuous mutation of organisms that eventually gave rise to human beings–from a Darwinian perspective. So were these mutants products of experiments or were they naturally supernatural then used for experiments? Just to make it clear, I’m not assessing anymore. Just asking.

See, I’m not that mean. Plus, I’m an unpaid and anonymous critic, so what do I lose with being honest? =)
